Jenn Hynes
I’m Jenn Hynes, a mother of three, and the founder of Earth Bank Foundation in memory of my father, Peter John Hynes. I have lived many lives and rebuilt from nothing more than once. I learned, out of necessity as a mom, how to analyze and adapt as required. My background is eclectic. It began in the customer service, restaurant, hospitality, real estate and tourism industries, where I learned the art of service, event management, and creating customized experiences. These skills led to roles in office management, executive support, and administrative leadership. Professionally, for over 15 years now, within the Ontario Public Sector I was working as a CIPM (Certified Information Privacy Manager) and CIPP (Certified Information Privacy Professional), certified through the IAPP (International Association of Privacy Professionals), my work included policy, privacy, records management, compliance, and governance. More recently, in the private sector, as part of in-house legal, I held the role of Information, Privacy, and Records Management Manager with a multinational organization. I analyzed and segmented disparate data into a globally centralized ERP system. Volunteerism has also shaped me. For more than a decade, I sat on the boards of two 100+ unit condominium properties, where we managed million-dollar operating budgets and oversaw redevelopment and renovations to generate long-term value for owners. Earth Bank was born out of necessity—the profound need for our children to have the future they deserve, beyond the lifeless technology that dominates their lives. Earth Bank will strive for organic and inorganic balance, bridging the past and future by nurturing creativity, a passion for science, and the simple joy of the glow of a fire pit. It will offer free-spirited education involving personal and career life-skills development. The Earth Bank Foundation is my life’s second act—a place where every lesson, every loss, and every hard-earned moment is transformed into human-centric opportunities. It’s a “blank canvas,” built upon an evolving infrastructure that allows leaders, dreamers, and change-makers to thrive. Living with invisible disabilities has deepened my empathy and my commitment to equity. My passion for justice fuels my belief that empowerment must be both practical and principled—giving people an objective voice. I didn’t create Earth Bank to be just another charity. I built it to challenge how we raise humans and to provide a pathway to self-realization. If you’re reading this, I hope you’ll see the same possibility I do: that when we steward the land, we steward the future.
